Ok, so many of you have been asking me what exactly Trash the dress is..here is what Wikipedia says about it (better then me trying to explain lol):
Trash the Dress
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“Trash the dress”, also known as “fearless bridal” or “rock the frock”, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion or glamour photography. Such photography often takes place on a beach, but other locations include city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, fields, and abandoned buildings. The bride often wears a ball gown, prom dress, or wedding dress, and may effectively ruin the dress in the process by getting it wet, dirty or in extreme circumstances tearing or destroying the garment.
Today I had the wonderful opportunity to photography Michelle's "Trash the Dress" Session. She wasn't going extreme and destroying her wedding gown, but having a nice walk in the muddy woods and high grasses, even a little fun with the fire truck. I photographed Kris and Michelle's wedding back on March 23rd, and had an amazing time with the two of them! I was so excited when she asked me about doing this session! Can you believe we shot this as Spring Mountain Ski Area!? Yep! Gorgeous location during the off months. Then went down to Upper Fredrick Fire Co. where Kris was waiting with the Fire trucks! They wanted to do some fun shots with the trucks and hoses, and after a super hot morning, the water felt great!
Enjoy these fun shots!
